30 Stadiums
Follow along as I traverse the Missouri cornfields, Texas deserts, and California coastlines on my journey to 30 stadiums.
Skydome (Toronto)

Date Visited: May 1997 + many others
I made my first visit to the Dome at the age of 4 and haven’t looked back since.
The players may have changed (from Joe Carter, to Delgado, Halladay, Bautista, and Vladdy), but the aura remains the same, with the famous artificial turf, view of the CN Tower, and mediocre Jays teams.
Comerica Park (Detroit)

Date Visited: August 2002 + July 2023
Emblematic of Detroit as a whole, Comerica Park is a vibe.
Scalpers are ubiquitous, fans are out there having fan, and the postgame scenes downtown are next level.
T-Mobile Park (Seattle)

Date Visited: September 2022
What struck me about T-Mobile was the picturesque views both inside and outside the stadium.
Fresh air, perfectly green grass, and delicious vodka crans make Seattle a perfect place to catch a ballgame.
PNC Park (Pittsburgh)

Date Visited: April 2023
Arguably my favourite park to date, PNC had a very friendly vibe, like you could plop down beside random fans and chat about the Steelers.
I came hoping Oneil Cruz would hit dingers into the Allegheny River, and instead Cruz left with a broken leg, though we did get to witness a bench-clearing brawl.
Fenway Park (Boston)

Date Visited: June 2023
Full disclosure: the game we were scheduled to attend at Fenway was rained out.
Buuuuut we did get to experience a tour of the stadium (that Ted Williams story is amazing) and listen to Umbrella as the rain poured down.
Great American Ball Park (Cincinnati)

Date Visited: April 2024
On a cold spring night in Cinci, delicious ballpark grub saved the day.
With items like the Brisket & Cheese Hoagie, Goetta Sliders, Smoker Nachos, and Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage on the menu, it’s best to come hungry to Reds games.
Rate Field (Chicago White Sox)

Date Visited: June 2024
Sitting in the blistering sun for 14 innings of White Sox – Rockies doesn’t sound alluring…….but I loved it!
In contrast to Wrigley, the preposterously named Rate Field had cheap food, a laid-back feel, and lots of room to stretch out your legs.
Wrigley Field (Chicago Cubs)

Date Visited: June 2024
From the crowded streets, packed bars, and standing-room-only gift shop, you could sense that Wrigley would hit different.
With the Phillies in town and excitement palpable through the many hecklers, Wrigley lived to its historic billing.
